| Dr. Mohamed Haneefa K is Professor & Head of the Department of Library & Information Science, and Director, Planning and Development, University of Calicut, Kerala. He has completed his MBA from Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam, Kerala and MLISc and PhD from the University of Calicut, Kerala. He has an experience of fifteen years of teaching, administration and research at the university level. Prior to this, he worked at NIT Calicut, IISR Calicut and TKM College of Engineering, Kollam. He has published several research papers in professional journals and participated and presented papers in many national and international conferences. He is a resource person for different continuing education programmes, refresher courses, workshops, etc. He has coordinated and conducted Twenty-Two international and national level conferences, seminars, workshops and refresher courses. He has successfully supervised 4 PhD degrees, 12 MPhil degrees and more than 80 MLISc dissertations. He is the Chairman of the Board of Studies in Library and Information Science of the University of Calicut, and Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam and member of the Board of Studies in Library and Information Science of the Christ College (Autonomous), Irinchalakuda, Thrissur, Rajagiri College of Social Sciences (Autonomous), Kalamassery, Kochi and Farook College (Autonomous), Farook, Kozhikode. He is one of the editors of the KJIST and reviewer of six professional journals. He is a life member of professional associations ILA, KLA and KELPRO. His current research interests are focused on the application of innovative information and communication technologies to solve information access and retrieval problems and for knowledge management. | ||
